You will be led in groups of five to six kayaks to places such as the Mendenhall Wetlands where you may have the opportunity to view the Mendenhall Glacier from an ocean explorer’s point of view. Your guide will explain the significance of places such as Smugglers Cove, the history of the surrounding area, and help identify local flora and fauna. You may see porpoise, seals, sea lions, eagles, herons, or even whales.
Tour Includes: Round trip transfer from dock or hotel; raingear and lifejackets; snack consisting of reindeer sausage, cheese, crackers, salmon spread and water. Complimentary souvenir button. T-shirts and hats are available for purchase at the conclusion of the tour.

Suitable for all ages 6 and above. No prior experience necessary, just good health and an adventurous spirit. We encourage participants to bring apparel appropriate for outdoor activities. Children must weigh at least 40 pounds in order to fit into required life jackets. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 13-17 must have a signed parental consent form if traveling without a parent or guardian. |
